Inspection Day...

Hi Everyone!

The inspection this morning went well. It took not quite three hours! He said it seems to be a very good house with one of the better foundations he's seen. There were a couple things we'll ask the homeowners to address and the radon test won't be done until next week, but there were no major issues. The current owners are very obviously packing and there was even one room that was totally emptied. I'm so excited to get them out (in a nice way) and us in!! I love so many things about this house and look forward to making it a home for my family.

Here we are, happy family!

While we were there, some snowy/sleety/slushy/haily/icy stuff fell from the sky!!

In other news...

...Remember how I said that Todd is in car-hunt mode and we test drove a lovely Avalon night before last? Well, on his way "home" from work yesterday, the Expedition started acting very odd. It's going to the doctor today and we'll await the news. :O( We may end up having to look for TWO new vehicles! :O(

...The College National Rodeo Finals will be here all next week. Not sure if we are going to get to go this year or not. It will be a "must do" for next year, though! Plan a visit and join us! :O) http://www.cnfr.com/
...The kids and I have been working on these two verses:
Kindrid's: Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 11:24
Brennen's: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up acoording to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
They caught my attention during a sermon Pastor Jim did a few months ago. Memorization, easy. Implementation, not so much. :O)
...Closing is still scheduled for June 30th. That's 18 days from now. Well, that is if you are counting. But people living in camping trailers don't count down days. They enjoy family time and reading mysteries and naps and watching lots of Weather Channel and going for walks around the storage units while the kids ride their bikes etc. etc. :O)
Hope your week has gone great and you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend!
Love,
Christy
PS I just went to spell check and it's not working for some reason. The teacher in me says to turn it into a challenge instead...like, "Class, how many of Mrs. Sandberg's misspelled words can you find in the above sentences?" :O) Guaranteed there are a bunch!! ;O)

Hmmm, seems blogging is up your scrapbooking alley, huh? Great to read up on your goings on these days, and praise God for answered prayers regarding your new home!

I must say, though, that it looks awfully familiar. The color scheme, the previous occupant's furniture - all reminded me of a little home over on Northridge off Glen and Knoxville...

Miss you guys a bunch. Take care, and we'll talk more soon. Later!
